    OPEN Access

In a context marked by rapid technological advances and growing global interconnectedness, Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to transform all areas of society, with education standing out as one of the most affected. The integration of AI into teaching and learning environments opens up new possibilities to enrich methodologies, enhance student engagement, and promote more inclusive and equitable educational experiences. At the same time, it raises important ethical, social, and pedagogical questions that require continuous reflection and debate.

The II International Workshop MEEBAI (IIWMEEBAI ’25) emerges as a meeting space to addressthese challenges and explore innovative approaches that place people at the centre of technological transformation. Under the theme “Inclusive and Emotion-Aware Education in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”, this edition focuses on the convergence of AI with neurotechnology, virtual reality, social robotics, and advanced language models, reflecting a wide diversity of perspectives and research lines.

The workshop covers topics such as emotion detection through facial expressions to personalise
learning, the development of AI-based tools to improve students’ attention and reduce teachers’
cognitive load, and the creation of knowledge graphs to simulate and optimise educational processes.
